Golden Ferns Rugby Cup

Yesterday we took 20 girls to the Golden Ferns Rugby League Competition at Churchdown. All the students were exemplary and played some fantastic rugby.

The Year 9 / 10 team were in a tough competition with many other schools having students who have played for a large proportion of their lives. They narrowly lost a few games but came out on top at the end, playing some great rugby and winning 10 tries to 2.

The Year 7's first fixture ended in a draw with them knowing they had to win the next 2 games to win the cup. The girls were fantastic at making their own substitutions, giving feedback to each other and eventually winning both games and securing the cup.
