Year 10 Pitt Rivers Textiles Trip
GCSE Textile Design students visited the Pitt Rivers on Wednesday 13th March. The Pitt Rivers houses a vast range of artefacts from across a range of cultures, countries and times in history. The visit started with a workshop where students were able to handle and learn about a range of artefacts and start their observational drawings. Students then explored the collection through a self-guided tour, drawing and photographing objects of interest for their “Wanderlust” unit of work. After a short lunch, students continued their research in the Natural History Museum. A productive and inspiring day of learning, the students were a credit to themselves and the school.
