Year 9 students were invited to a taster day at the University of Gloucestershire. The students who attended found out more about higher education, participated in engaging and interactive workshops which focused on the benefits of higher education and why they may want to consider this as an option when they reach 18. The workshops were delivered by current higher education students and staff. Students also experienced a tour of the campus to familiarise themselves with this environment.

The main aims of the day were, what is higher education and how can I get there, what are the differences between school and higher education and most importantly why go to university.
