CAMPS International Trip
Recently 6 current and ex students from Barnwood Park embarked on a 4 week expedition to Kenya. During their time they completed lots of project work including; renovating classrooms for local students, painting the outside of a school, building houses for families in need, picking up rubbish along Diani beach and Athi river and even had fun deworming Goats.
Whilst they worked hard for most of their trip, they also had amazing opportunities to experience the culture of Kenya. From climbing coconut trees, making chapatis, going on safari to meeting the Masai tribe. They all embraced every opportunity given to them. Excitingly students and staff got to try out SCUBA diving, with some of them gaining their PADI open water diving qualification.
