Girls Football
From the success of the District tournament held at Severn Vale, the girls U14 football team progressed and competed in the county tournament representing Gloucester. Other schools included Cleeve (Cheltenham District), KLB (Stroud District), Dene Magna (Forest of Dean District), Bristol Free School (Bristol District) and Brimsham (South Gloucestershire District). The team played in a 7 aside tournament format with 14-minute matches. The team played exceptionally well, with some fancy footwork, fine saves and solid defending. We won 3 matches, lost 1 and drew in the final deciding match against Dene Magna 1-1, to finish runners up on goal difference. Top goal scorer Freya B (Yr.8). Well done ladies, an excellent achievement. Team: Year 9’s Kimmi T-J (Cpt), Siurii W, Erin S, Katie H, Gemma D, Gia L, Year 8s: Freya B, Amber I, Laila B, Kaitlyn S, Chloe S.
